Holy Beans Cafe is committed to driving economic development in Haiti through one of Haiti's most exportable commodities - Coffee. As a result, we build dignity, hope, and sustainability across multiple communities in Haiti through the import and and sale of premium Haitian coffee. Haiti is home to the Western Hemisphere's oldest stock of heirloom Arabica Typica coffee. This is the same coffee grown on other more well know Caribbean islands. Haitian coffee is some of the best in the Caribbean and central America. Our Haitian coffee is grown at strictly high altitudes. As a result it produces a robust and smooth cup of coffee.
Our partners only deal direct with coffee growers. The result of this is revenue flows to where it is needed the most, directly to farmers. Our growers are in developing rural areas of Haiti. The rate paid to the growers of this coffee is significantly better than C-market prices. This is also much higher than "Fair Trade" rates paid to similar farmers. Because of this each cup you drink brings education, infrastructure, and clear drinking water to these rural Haitian agricultural areas.
Our expert roasters bring out the best flavor characteristics of this high altitude Haitian Arabica Coffee. Their expertise gives rise to complex, yet smooth cups of coffee and can be used with various brewing methods including standard drip brew, espresso, French press, and single serve KCup. We occasionally experiment with various blends and other flavors so be on the lookout for special offerings.
Holy Beans Cafe is engaged with other non-profit organizations in Haiti that bring education, health and family services to less serviced areas of the country. The direct result of our success is we return almost 100% of our profits back into social programs that further raise the dignity, hope and sustainability in Haiti. This benefits Haiti directly, one cup at a time.
