About Our Haitian Coffee

Haitian Coffee is one of the most under-sourced and under-rated coffees in the world! Haiti was once the worlds largest exporter of coffee, but since the early 1900’s has been in steady decline. Haitian Coffee is grown in similar conditions as other island coffee and is grown on heirloom Arabica Typica stock that dates back to when coffee was first brought to the Western Hemisphere.

Holy Beans Cafe sources it’s coffee from DHS Development, LLC (www.dhscoffee.com), a company dedicated to Haitian Coffee development. Our coffee is 100% Arabica coffee, grown at strictly high altitudes (1000+ Meters), in the Bae D’Orange growing region of South Central Haiti. DHS deals directly with the growers of this fine coffee, cutting out the many middle men who leech profits from the growers. By dealing direct with growwers through DHS Development, Holy Beans Cafe helps build dignity, hope, and economic sustainability in Haiti!

Once in the states, our coffee is carefully roasted to bring out it’s best qualities. We only roast in small batches, packaging and shipping immediately in a variety of methods that suites your brewing needs. We offer our coffee in a medium, or “City Roast” and a dark, or “Full City” Roast. We find that both roast profiles bring out some great qualities of the coffee, but are different. The medium roast is slightly sweeter and a bit more acidic while the dark roast is bolder, with an earthier taste. Both are complex with the medium roast being great for drip brewing while the dark roast is great for espresso brewing.

Our packaging includes whole bean for those who prefer to control their own grind, pre-ground “Pillow Pack” for quick drip coffee brewing, and KCup for single serve machines. All methods produce a deep, satisfying cup of coffee and each cup helps to build up our partners in Haiti!!

  1. I just placed an order for 36 K cups of Med. roast.
I also will need a W-9 from you in order to have a check ready upon delivery.
If you need a w-9 – let me know and I can email you one.

When is the approx. delivery date? Our accountant is out of office this week, so she wouldn’t be able to get a check printed until next week, AND until we get the W-9.

Thanks for the order and the comment. I was traveling all of this week so I did not see your order until today. We try to fulfill all orders with freshly roasted coffee. I will be roasting this week and will process the order for shipping as soon as I have some coffee packed, no later than Friday May 5th. Sorry for the delay.

As for the W9, please email me your W9 form at info@dhscoffee.com.

      Thanks Janet!!

      Frank
